Adhesive Guide: Choosing the Right Glue for Your Project

Find a starting point for your next paper-crafting project. Check each product's directions for material compatibility and application, and test on a scrap before committing.

Vellum

Start with the Scrapbook Adhesives E-Z Runner® Permanent Fine Adhesive Dispenser listed for vellum. Test placement on a scrap to check how the adhesive looks through your paper.

Fine Die Cuts & Tiny Pieces

For detailed application, explore the Altenew 2-in-1 Precision Glue Pen and Nuvo Smooth Precision Glue Pen. For narrow areas, compare Therm O Web Terrific Tape (⅛") with the width of your piece.

Layering Cardstock

Browse Nuvo tape runners, Scrapbook Adhesives E-Z Runner® dispensers and E-Z Squares®, or Lawn Fawn ¼" Double Sided Tape for attaching layers. For raised layers, explore Sizzix Tim Holtz Foam Adhesive Sheets and Therm O Web Foam Tape.

Large Surfaces

Compare Lawn Fawn Double Sided Adhesive Sheets with liquid options such as Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue XL and Lawn Fawn Jumbo Glue Tube. If you prefer not to handle liquid glue, consider sheets or tape runners. Check product dimensions and directions against your panel size.

Permanence vs. Removable

For temporary placement, look for products labeled removable, including Crafter's Essentials Easy See Tape and Therm O Web iCraft Purple Tape. For permanent projects, browse options labeled permanent, such as E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips and Therm O Web Adhesive Dot Runner. Follow each product's instructions and test removal on your chosen paper.

Special Finishes

Looking beyond basic adhesion? Explore Lawn Fawn Sparkle Glaze and Clear Glaze, Spellbinders Glaze and Glue, and Ranger Mini Crackle Accents. Check their individual descriptions for intended uses and finish details.
